![]() In light of the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special I thought I would do a fun painting to go along with my Starry Night in Gotham painting. Tell me what you think! This is my version of Cafe Terrace at Night by Van Gogh with Doctor Who. There has been a good response to to Starry Night in Gotham that I painted when I was 16 years old. So I thought I would do more for the series. This is what I came up with. I love Doctor Who so it was only natural to want to do a painting about it.

![]() Just posted a new "Church" drawing in the Comic Book Fantasy section. This was a fun one. I played with the clouds a lot. I also tried to figure out a good way of creating the light on the left side of his figure. I still am working on getting that lighting a little more even. I will keep working at it. Drawing superheros has always been fun to me. I love trying to figure out the proportions. It is always a challenge. Sometimes I get it right other times not so much. That is what makes it fun. It always attracted an audience as well. Isn't that the point of art to have people enjoy it? It always makes me happy when I brighten up someones day from a silly picture I have drawn. ![]() I just posted a new drawing in the Comic book section. This is the first time I have attempted to do all 3 parts of a comic book drawing, Sketching, Inking and Coloring. I took some time to figure out the best way to get it done. I have some learning to do but I like how it turned out. This is what I do in church during sacrament meeting. I have a lot of friends that like to sit by me. I have found that if I do not have something that I am sketching I will fall asleep and/or be more disruptive. So here it is. This was drawn on my iPad. |
